The temporary closure of Newman Road to through traffic between Northwestern Avenue and Deerfield Road has been rescheduled occur near the end of April or in early May, depending on the weather, instead of in late February. That closure is to accommodate the Deerfield Road Storm Sewer Drainage Improvement Project. This is a hard closure. No through traffic, specifically between Northwestern and Deerfield, will be permitted from either direction. Motorists will need to use Emmertsen Road as a detour. The closure is expected to last approximately two weeks.
Deerfield Road, between Chapel Lane and Newman Road, closed to through traffic starting around February 17. Residents with addresses within the project area will have access to their homes. When work is being completed directly in front of your home, access to your driveway will be temporarily interrupted.
