The temporary closure of Newman Road to through traffic between Northwestern Avenue and Deerfield Road is scheduled to start on Monday, April 14 and last until about Friday, April 25.
The road closure will accommodate the Deerfield Road Storm Sewer Drainage Improvement Project. This is a hard closure. No through traffic, specifically between Northwestern and Deerfield, will be permitted from either direction. Motorists will need to use Emmertsen Road as a detour (PDF).
Deerfield Road, between Chapel Lane and Newman Road, closed to through traffic starting around February 17. Residents with addresses within the project area continue to have access to their homes. When work is being completed directly in front of your home, access to your driveway will be temporarily interrupted.
