The Mount Pleasant Police Department is hosting a Coffee with a Cop gathering on Wednesday, April 30, to meet and talk with residents about issues that matter to them.
The event is from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the cafe located inside Barnes & Noble at 2710 S. Green Bay Road. There’s no agenda, no speeches, just the chance for a relaxed conversation with officers who serve the community. It’s an opportunity to ask questions, share thoughts, or just say hello, and maybe take home some Police Department swag. The first 12 guests will receive a free Mount Pleasant Police Department coffee cup.
Mark your calendar, and download the flyer (PDF) for April 30th’s Coffee with a Cop.
Coffee with a Cop events are an example of the department’s ongoing, proactive initiatives to improve public safety by strengthening relationships within the community. The department also hosts Citizen Police Academy programs in fall, and since 2015 has supported local events and initiatives through the Lakeside COP (Community Oriented Policing) House on Mead Street.
