The Shift Commander for each patrol shift serves as the on-duty PIO for the Mount Pleasant Police Dept. To contact the Shift Commander at Mount Pleasant Police Department, please call 262-884-0454, Option #5. Leave a message if no answer and your call will be returned ASAP.

On January 18th, 2026, at approximately 2:00 a.m., officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department responded to reports of shots fired in the 2100 block of Racine St. Upon arrival, officers located and secured the scene. The victim was identified as a 22-year-old male from Racine who sustained a non-life-threatening injury during the incident.

Mount Pleasant officers were assisted by Caledonia Police Department.

This remains an active investigation. No further details are being released at this time.
